Recent Faves

Some things I've been loving lately:

Aziz Ansari's sitcom Master of None on Netflix.
It's 10 episodes and it's funny and lovely. The style reminds me of French cinema, great soundtrack, the situations are really true-to-life. If you're a fan of Aziz's stand-up you'll like this show. It's really cute.

Sukin Organic's Rose Hip Hydrating Day Cream
I'd been reading about mv organics skincare, especially the Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturizer, but it is quite outside my price range. So I went to my local health food store in search of something similar and found this - the brand is also organic, also from Australia, and some of the active ingredients are the same, but it is a larger size and way cheaper, so I figured I'd give it a shot. The main ingredient in this cream is rose hip oil which is supposed to help reduce acne, dry skin, wrinkles, and scarring. The lotion is light-weight and comes in this beautiful little jar. It does not smell floral, though, which I like. It smells fruity due to the mandarin and pomegranate oils in it. I've been using it for about a week and a half now and I love the way it smells and the way it makes my skin feel. It does not reduce active breakouts but I've found my skin hasn't had any new breakouts since using it and my skin is soft and hydrated.

Adele's 25
I love the new album and am thinking about maybe writing a review for my blog, so we'll see if I feel up to that this week.

my hot water bottle cozy
I got this from this adorable German etsy shop. It is grey fleece with a cute little grey polka dot heart. Stephen says it reminds him of Totoro which makes me love it even more.

Inside Out
We got the blu-ray. I love this film so much. It is adorable, with a great message, and just...amazing!

library books
The library in our town is only open 2 days a week so I'm more likely to just get ebooks from the library and read them on my kobo but lately I've been requesting library books again. All the libraries in my province are linked so you can go online and request books to be sent to your local library. There is something so exciting about going to pick up a stack of books to read. It reminds me of being a kid.

thrifted sweaters
It's cold and that means time for sweaters. I've been loving wearing thrifted sweaters. They are soft and lovely. These ones are some of my faves currently. This soft grey turtleneck is so cozy, and these cardigans are super comfy.

my new parka
I got a new parka this winter. It is bright blue, down-stuffed with a faux fur hood and is the puffiest, coziest, warmest coat. I love it.

our new car
Stephen got in a car accident a couple weeks ago. He is okay. He hit a deer and the car got written off. This weekend we got a new car. A 2016 Honda CRV. It is so nice. My favorite feature is the seat warmers.

Those are the random things I've been into lately. What about you?
